Hiromi wins second stage of international cycling event

Japanese Kaneko Hiromi won the second stage of the sixth Bình Dương International Women’s Cycling Tournament, Biwase Cup 2016 yesterday.

(VNS)Japanese Kaneko Hiromi won the second stage of the sixth Bình Dương International Women’s Cycling Tournament, Biwase Cup 2016 yesterday.

Hiromi won the 110km stage from Gia Tân 2 Commune, Thống Nhất District to Bảo Lộc City in Lâm Đồng Province.

Hiromi also seized the yellow jersey from An Giang’s Nguyễn Thị Thật for the best overall time after two stages. She also won the red jersey award as Queen of the Mountain with 30 points.

Hiromi said she was very happy to win the stage and credited her teammates for her success.

Japan lead the team race, followed by An Giang, Thailand and Indonesia.

Today, cyclists will continue on to the 115km stage from Bảo Lộc to Đà Lạt City.

The event drew eight local teams and six foreign ones from Thailand, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Japan, Indonesia, and the Philippines. -- VNS
