BINH DUONG (VNS) — Thirty-three domestic and foreign teams are participating in the 2015 Rainforest Challenge (RFC) Viet Nam-Binh Duong, an international off-road challenge that commenced in Binh Duong on November 1.

Four teams from the southern host province are participating in the competition, besides teams from Malaysia, Thailand and Laos.

Nguyen Phu Yen, deputy director of Binh Duong Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, flags off the 2015 Rainforest Challenge (RFC) Viet Nam-Binh Duong.

The teams will showcase their skills in six events on artificial terrain and 10 on natural terrain in the challenge, which ends on November 7.

The 15 vehicles that win the first round on artificial terrain on November 1 and 2 will advance to the second round, slated for November 3 to 7, in which they will have to traverse 70km of forests in Dau Tieng District of Binh Duong and Bu Dang District of Binh Phuoc Province in 36 hours.

The challenge is the only professional motorsport tournament in the country, held under the world's most demanding 4x4 extreme off-road events in Malaysia.
