HA NOI (VNS) — Viet Nam lost to Asian silver medallists Iran 6-1 in a friendly match in Brazil today (Ha Noi time).

Iran took control of the match from the first minute and quickly scored 4-0 in the first half.

After the break, Viet Nam's coach Bruno Garcia adjusted tactics and the team managed to cut down Iran's strength, creating some critical situations.

Dinh Thuan scored the only goal for Viet Nam in the second half, but Iran scored two more goals.

The match was a warm-up for the International Futsal Grand Prix to be held in Brazil from November 12 to 16. The competition will feature six teams, including hosts Brazil, who are in Group A with Viet Nam and Colombia. Group B has Iran, Guatemala and Costa Rica.

As scheduled, Viet Nam will meet defending champions Brazil tomorrow. The match will be broadcast live on the SportTV channel.
