HCM CITY (VNS) — An Giang Plant Protection's Ho Huynh Van An kept the yellow jersey with the best overall time at the 26th HCM City Television Cycling Cup yesterday.

He clocked 12:44.42 after the fourth stage, followed by Nguyen Minh Luan of Thanh Son Hoa Nong and Phan Hoang Thai of Domesco Pharmacy Dong Thap.

An continued to hold the green jersey as best sprinter with 48 points.

The winner of the 167km-fourth stage from Phan Thiet to Phan Rang City yesterday was Le Anh Dung of Ha Noi's Dong Da. His time was 4:25.03. Truong Nhat Truong of Dong Thap and Dung's teammate Nguyen Van Duc were runners-up.

In team ranking, Thanh Son Hoa Nong remained in first place with a time of 38:42.29. Dong Thap and Military Zone 7 went to second and third, respectively.

Today, the cyclists will compete in the fifth stage in from Phan Rang to Thap Cham Town. — VNS

I agree with the other post. I was in HCMC visiting and love cycle racing. Was so disappointed that I could not find specific time and location information. My hotel guy looked on line and could not find any info in Vietnamese either.

This is really great that Cycling in Vietnam (HoChiMinh in particular) can receive some coverage like this on a national newspaper. It would be even greater if you could publish the location and the schedule of the race or stage in advance so that we can go watch these competitions!! We really wanted to see the first stage in HCMC but we could figure out the starting time and location! If more people can attend, this is a great way to promote the sport.
