Viet Nam to play AS Roma

HA NOI (VNS) — Viet Nam will play AS Roma in an international under-19 football tournament, the Nutifood Cup, which will kick off in HCM City on January 6.

Prior to that, the English Premier League's Tottenham Hospur team will meet Japan in the Thong Nhat stadium.

The Vietnamese squad was sent to Gia Lai province earlier this week. The players will train there for several days before taking part in a friendly match against V-League's Hoang Anh Gia Lai on December 27.

They will move to HCM City for the tournament on January 4. The foreign players are expected to arrive on the same day, while the Japanese will arrive a day earlier. – VNS
