Thanh win gold at Toyota Cup

HA NOI (VNS) — Phan Thi Ha Thanh won a gold medal at the Toyota Cup international gymnastics tournament in Japan yesterday.

The former World Cup champion came in first in the women's vault with 14.850 points.

Two years ago she also won a gold medal, and has been invited to compete each year in the annual Toyota tournament.

Japanese athlete Murakami came in second with 14.400 points, followed by Vietnamese Do Thi Van Anh, who earned 13.675.

Viet Nam took part in the two-day event with six athletes, bringing home one gold and one silver medal. – VNS
