Disabled students to compete in Thai Nguyen
HA NOI (VNS)—The National Sports Games for Students with Disabilities will be held from December 3-8 in Thai Nguyen Province.
The competitions are designed for athletes from 14-16 years old who will compete in track and field, chess, badminton, tug-of-war and football.
"The Games are part of the Government's policy to help disabled students integrate with society," said Deputy Minister of Education and Training Tran Quang Quy.
Officials also hope to find new talents for the national teams.
Over the six days, competitors will also enjoy other activities including music shows and tours.
In the previous games two years ago, more than 500 students from 12 teams attended the event in Thai Binh Province. — VNS
