The 2013 Yamaha Football Camp has begun in Ha Noi for talented players under the age of 10.
A total of 150 children were chosen following a two-day selection process in late May, under the supervision of Japan Olympic team coach Masakuni Yamamoto and Hiroyoshi Yamamoto, and Vietnamese trainers.
The six-week event will provide youngsters with basic knowledge of football, help them build team spirit and strengthen their physique.
"We also teach them logical thought and independence during their time here. These will be skills that help them be confident in life," said Yamamoto.
The annual activity is part of Yamaha Vietnam's commitment to developing stable and comprehensive football opportunities at grassroots level in the country.-VNS
