HA NOI — Sai Gon FC showed great skill in beating Hai Phong 3-2 during their round 14 match at Lach Tray Stadium yesterday.
The two sides played offensively since the start with the hosts opening scoring in the 8th minute thanks to Edmun Ahsah.
Kesley Huynh Alves levelled the score for the visitors in the 27th minute before Oloya Moses scored another goal for Sai Gon FC in the 40th.
Receiving a favourable pass from his teammate following the break, Diego Fagan levelled the score 2-2 for Hai Phong in the 57th minute.
However, Kesley scored again in the 87th minute to clinch the game for his team 3-2.
In other matches yesterday, Thanh Hoa defeated Ninh Binh 1-0 at Thanh Hoa Stadium while Khanh Hoa beat Dong Thap 1-0 at Nha Trang Stadium.
In V-League round 14 games played on Saturday, Kien Giang drew with Ha Noi T&T 1-1 at Rach Gia Stadium, Navibank Sai Gon drew goalless with arch-rival Hoang Anh Gia Lai and Ha Noi FC beat Binh Duong 4-1 at Hang Day Stadium.
Ha Noi T&T have temporarily taken the lead with 24 points while SHB Da Nang and Hoang Anh Gia Lai find themselves in second and third with 23 points each. — VNS
