HA NOI (VNS) — The country recorded 51 new cases of measles on May 1 and two related deaths.

The total number of measles cases recorded nationwide since the beginning of the year is more than 3,880, according to the Preventative Health Department under the Health Ministry.

However, 13 provinces and cities did not record any new measles cases on May 1.

The health officials are still working to increase the awareness of people about measles and are making sure that the provinces and cities increase their vaccination coverage, especially for the second-dose round.
