HÀ NỘI — The Ministry of Health announced late Friday the 13th case to test positive for the novel coronavirus (nCoV) in Việt Nam.

The 29-year-old woman in the northern province of Vĩnh Phúc was one of the eight workers returning from China’s Wuhan City on the same flight with five others who have been confirmed to have contracted the acute respiratory disease caused by nCoV, the ministry said. She was one of the remaining three who showed no symptoms of the disease and had been isolated, the ministry added.

The woman is still isolated and in a stable condition with no fever or cough. Her sample were taken for testing on February 3.

The case brings the number of the nCoV-positive cases in Vĩnh Phúc Province to eight. — VNS
