Major fire in apartment building put out in Hà Nội

A major fire at a high-rise apartment building Hà Đông District of Hà Nội taking place today’s afternoon was put out after 30 minutes.

HÀ NỘI — Six people have been led to safety after a major fire broke out at a high-rise apartment building Hà Đông District of Hà Nội Friday afternoon.

Firefighters spent 30 minutes tackling the blaze and prevented the fire from spreading.

The fire didn’t result in any casualties.

At about 4:45pm, the fire suddenly broke out on the 18th floor of CT3 building of Bắc Hà apartment building, Mỗ Lao Ward of Hà Đông District. Black smoke quickly engulfed the building and threatened to ravage adjacent floors, trapping several panicked residents inside.

Six fire trucks and additional firefighters from neighbouring wards were deployed to the scene in anticipation of the growing risks.

The cause of the incident is being investigated. — VNS
