BÌNH DƯƠNG — One person was killed, and three others were seriously injured when an under-construction factory in Bến Cát Town in southern Bình Dương Province collapsed on April 17 afternoon due to strong wind.

The injured are undergoing treatment at the provincial hospital.

The factory, belonging to an individual company, was located in Mỹ Phước 3 Industrial Park, according to police in Bến Cát Town.

“The workers were working on the construction of the steel factory. It was raining, and the wind was strong, which knocked down the factory,” a police source said.

“One of the workers could not run fast, and an iron bar fell on him, resulting in his death,” he added.

Police in Bến Cát Town and Bình Dương Province reached the spot to inspect and investigate the matter.

At 7pm on April 17, police gathered information from witnesses for the investigation. — VNS
