ĐÀ NẴNG — The central city has set aside two downtown streets – Trần Phú and Bạch Đằng – for a pilot smart-parking project.
The city’s transport department said the project was part of Đà Nẵng’s urban traffic corridor improvement project, funding by Toyota Mobility Foundation (TMF). It will allow commuters to pay parking fees through their smart phones or (SMS).
Fees for each parking place will cost from VNĐ15,000 to VNĐ30,000 for two hours.
The department plans to expand smart parking projects to more public parking area in future.

The city now has 15 car parks in the inner city and plans to develop 158 by 2030, including public underground car parks
According to traffic police, Đà Nẵng has 69,000 cars, 800,000 motorbikes and more than 5,000 electric bikes, excluding cars and personal vehicles from outside localities that visit the city every day. — VNS
