ĐẮK LẮK — The People’s Committee of Đắk Lắk Province’s Tân Lợi Ward has decided to halt the operation of a night market, until the organising body submits all the papers.

Lê Anh Tuấn, chairman of the Tân Lợi Ward People’s Committee, said that the Street Food Commerce and Service Co. Ltd, the organising body, opened the night market in 38 Hà Huy Tập Street in Buôn Ma Thuột City on November 23.

An inspection team of the committee conducted a quick inspection at the night market and found that the company had built kiosks on an area of 978 square metres. The total area of the night market was 4,682 square metres.

The company failed to show the required papers, such as licences for construction and service trading.

Tuấn said the committee has received complaints from local residents about the security disorder, since the market began operation.

The committee has asked the company to stop operation and get the required licences.

A representative of the company told e-newspaper zing.vn that the company had the licence to operate the night market and was only required to ensure security to the area. — VNS
