KIÊN GIANG – A Việt Nam–Republic of Korea Vocational School opened on Phú Quốc in the Mekong Delta province of Kiên Giang yesterday.

Work on the school, covering more than eight hectares in Hàm Ninh Commune, began in January last year and cost a total of more than VNĐ233 billion (US$10.26 million), of which $10 million was provided by the South Korean-based Teakwang Group. The rest came from the provincial budget and other sources.

The school consists of three three-storey buildings used as practice sections, classrooms, offices, and dormitories.

It will enroll 207 students for the 2017-18 academic year, majoring in tour guide, receptionist skills, restaurant services, and hotel management.
The school also offers short-term courses in basic skills for office secretaries, make-up artists, and designers. — VNS
