Driver returns bag foreigner left behind in taxi

HÀ NỘI – A taxi driver of Vinasun Taxi Group has returned a foreign passenger’s forgotten bag that contained assets worth more than VNĐ250 million (US$11,100).

The bag contained cash in different notes worth VNĐ100 million, $5,200, Euro 430 and a laptop together with some personal documents.

A representative from the group on Monday said it had rewarded Trần Ngọc Khanh for his action.

According to initial information, the passenger, from the US, forgot the bag after alighting from Khanh’s taxi last Friday.

The passenger came to the taxi group’s headquarters in HCM City on Sunday to get back the bag.

Earlier this month, another taxi driver of the Vinasun Group in central Đà Nẵng City returned a wallet to a Korean passenger who had travelled from Hyatt Regency hotel to Đà Nẵng international airport. The wallet contained some foreign currency worth around VNĐ7 million, some credit cards and personal documents. — VNS
