Chinese man dies in accident in Quảng Ninh

A Chinese man died while working at the Hòn Pháo Anchorage on northern coastal Quảng Ninh Province’s Hạ Long Beach.

QUẢNG NINH — A Chinese man died while working at the Hòn Pháo Anchorage on the northern coastal province of Quảng Ninh’s Hạ Long Beach.

Wan Ping, 45, was the deputy captain of vessel Le Ye. While inspecting cargo at the vessel’s storage facility, wood lying in the storage fell on him. He died shortly after receiving emergency treatment, Hoàng Văn Hoan, head of Quảng Ninh Port Authority’s Marine Safety and Inspection Office, said.

Le Ye was in the process of offloading its cargo before returning to Hải Phòng Port.

The provincial police are working with the authority to conduct the autopsy and investigate the accident. — VNS
