ĐÀ NẴNG — Ten fishermen from central Đà Nẵng City were rescued and taken home safely on Wednesday morning after their boat broke down at sea on Tuesday evening.

The Maritime Rescue and Search Coordination Centre No 2 in Đà Nẵng City said the fishing boat, coded ĐNa 90901, sent emergency signals for help on Tuesday evening after the crew of 10 failed to fix the problem while at sea some 55 nautical miles off the coast.

The centre tried to contact local authorities, calling for assistance from boats working near the stranded boat, but none was available.

At around 6pm, the centre assigned ship SAR 412 to undertake the rescue. The ship reportedly reached ĐNa 90901 at 9.45pm.
