THANH HÓA — Police in the central province of Thanh Hóa have broken up a drug trafficking ring operating from Laos to Việt Nam, by arresting three suspects and seizing 15kg of ecstasy tablets.
Police from the provincial Criminal Investigation Drug Division on Sunday caught Chẹo Thị Phới, 37, Chẹo Văn Mãn, 41, and Phan Thị Phàm, 39, carrying 15kg of ecstasy tablets in Mường Lát District’s Mường Chanh Commune.
The police said that Mãn led the ring, and collaborated with the other two suspects to transport drugs meant for consumption from Laos to Việt Nam.
