ĐÀ NẴNG — Four workers were seriously wounded when scaffolding collapsed at the construction site of a 32-storey building in Sơn Trà District on Wednesday night.

No deaths were reported.

The construction site manager, Phan Anh Sơn said the workers were casting concrete on the roof of the building when the scaffolding collapsed around 9pm.

Rescue forces were called to help the victims of the accident, taking the workers to hospital at around 11pm.

Two workers suffered broken arms, while two others were treated for cuts and bruises.

The police are investigating the case.

It’s the second labour accident to occur in Đà Nẵng so far this year.

Last week, two workers were killed and two others wounded when a wall collapsed during the demolition of an old building on Trần Phú Street. — VNS
