Emergency centre to be opened on island district

Officials from Khánh Hòa Province’s Health Department said the province has decided to invest nearly VNĐ260 billion (US$11.5 million) to develop a health system for the island districts in the province from 2017.

KHÁNH HÒA  — Officials from Khánh Hòa Province’s Health Department said the province has decided to invest nearly VNĐ260 billion (US$11.5 million) to develop a health system for the island districts in the province from 2017.

Under the plan, some VNĐ10 billion ($400,000) will be invested in the 87 Military Hospital in Nha Trang City to upgrade its equipment and facilities and human resources. The emergency department of the hospital will be upgraded into an emergency centre.
Another focus of the plan is to train emergency teams on the Spratly Island District.

The 486 medical team of Military Zone 4 will be upgraded into the 486 Military Hospital with a capacity of 100 beds. — VNS
