YÊN BÁI — A new general hospital with 500 beds was inaugurated in Hamlet 1, Phúc Lộc Commune in the north-west province of Yên Bái yesterday.

Yên Bái General Hospital is built on an area of 12.67ha at the cost of US$52 million, of which $45 million is funded by ODA loans from the Republic of Korea and $7 million is reciprocal capital of the Vietnamese government. It is a key project in the health network plans of Yên Bái Province and the northwest region. 

The general hospital aims to meet the increasing training demand for health workers, and the need for high-quality treatment of people in Yên Bái and other provinces of the region.  VNS
