A helicopter with three people on board lost communication with its control centre after flying for 15 minutes this morning in the southern province of Bà Rịa-Vũng Tàu.

BÀ RỊA-VŨNG TÀU  A helicopter with three people on board lost communication with its control centre after flying for 15 minutes this morning in the southern province of Bà Rịa-Vũng Tàu.

Vũ Ngọc Thảo, director of the province’s transport department, confirmed the information to VietnamPlus.

An official from the province’s People’s Committee said the helicopter was flying on a routine exercise.

The helicopter belongs to the Bà Rịa - Vũng Tàu Training Centre of the Vietnam Helicopter Corporation. 

The helicopter was later reported to have fallen in the region of the Dinh mountain in the province’s Tân Thành District.

The incident is under further investigation.  VNS
