HA NOI (VNS) — Ha Noi People's Committee Chairman Nguyen Duc Chung urged relevant agencies to take measures to tackle difficulties in business and production.
At a meeting held yesterday between the committee and relevant departments, agencies and districts, Chung set out key tasks the city should tackle in the first quarter of the year.
Chung said a dialogue with businesses should be held in early March to hear enterprises' recommendations.
He asked relevant departments, agencies and localities to pay more attention to administrative reform to create optimal conditions for businesses.
The chairman also banned public officials from using public vehicles and State funds to attend New Year festivals and organise parties during working hours to celebrate Tet (Lunar New Year).
Taking measures to strengthen security and traffic safety at key routes, entertainments areas and new-year festivals, strictly punish those causing social disorders, as well as enhancing fire and disease prevention and control are among the key tasks.
Chung also instructed relevant agencies to focus on key projects, including building seven schools, and restoring traditional craft villages such as Van Phuc Silk Village and Bat Trang Pottery Village.
He also suggested authorities improve health check-ups and treatment for residents, upgrade old hospitals and build new medical facilities.
Construction projects needed to be carried out as soon as possible, Chung said. — VNS
