New Year travellers flood stations to return home for family reunion

Update: February, 06/2016 - 15:19

Thousands of Vietnamese arrive bus and train stations this morning in order to get buses to return to their native hometown for the lunar New Year celebrations. In Ha Noi, bus stations are full of people as the last working day of the lunar year 2015 ended yesterday. They all can't wait to reunite with family members for the biggest festival of the year.

Viet Nam News photographer Doan Tung takes a snapshot at certain bus stations:

Coaches at bus stations located in the south of Ha Noi are ready to drive passengers from Ha Noi to their hometown.
Passengers are loading luggages into a coach, ready to jump on the car for home.
Many people who couldn't buy a ticket earlier try to make it to get a bus home.
Three photos above show everyone is heavy with luggages.
This woman even uses a big trolley to carry her heavy luggages.

Ticket booths at Ha Noi Railway Station are still ready to serve customers on the last days of the year.

People wait patiently for their trains to arrive at the Ha Noi Railway Station.
Unlike many others, Lam Quang Dung, employee for a marketing office in Ha Noi, decides to drive home in Nam Dinh Province on his motorbike for fear of the usual squeeze at stations during this time of the year.
The Nguyen Van Ba family takes a taxi to Thai Binh Province as the travellers include children and women.
Travellers wait for their bus.
