HCM CITY (VNS) — More than 2,500 primary school students in HCM City on Saturday and Sunday will take part in the STEM (Science-Technology-Engineering-Mathematics) Day.

STEM education equips students with knowledge and skills that can be applied in the real world to solve problems and create new products and services.

The programme, organised by the HCM City Computer Association in co-operation with the Youth Scientific and Technological Promotion Centre and Tia Sang Magazine, includes STEM classes, a talk show, an outdoor playground and an aircraft performance show.

In the STEM classes, students learn how to assemble robots and make rockets from empty bottles. They also learn about the solar system, comets and falling stars. — VNS
