DA NANG (VNS) — The management board of beaches and Son Tra peninsula warned tourists and local people to avoid swimming at the city's beaches during the rough season.
The board said big waves caused by strong winds could endanger the lives of swimmers at beaches during year-end vacations at resorts.
The city's rescue teams had saved over 100 tourists and locals at eight public beaches between October and December.
Many notices were set up at public beaches to warn swimmers of the risks.
It suggested that visitors should swim between 5.30am and 6pm at beaches with safety warnings and available rescue teams. — VNS
