HCM CITY (VNS)— The HCM City Oncology Hospital in Binh Thanh District yesterday began construction of a building that will house modern facilities and equipment for diagnosis and treatment.

The 10-storey, 9,000sq.m. facility will cost VND204 billion (US$9.06 million) and have sophisticated equipment for imaging diagnosis, surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy.

It is expected to start functioning in February 2017, he said.

Also, the municipal People's Committee has approved AMC Health Co. Ltd. as the investor to build a 500-bed practice hospital and a centre for high-tech radiation therapy at Tan Kien Medical Complex in Binh Chanh District. — VNS
