HA NOI (VNS)— More than 5,400 disabled children have been helped access education in a 10-year project held in Ninh Binh Province in the North and Quang Nam Province in Central Viet Nam.

Titled Inclusion of Vietnamese with Disabilities, it was organised by Catholic Relief Services (CRS) and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). The project ran from October 1, 2005 to September 30, 2015.

During the project, nearly 2,300 teachers from the two provinces received training about integrating the disabled into normal school outlets.

In Ha Noi, Da Nang and HCM City, another 1,400 disabled youths completed training courses on information technology. More than 60 per cent of them found jobs after the training. — VNS
