HA NOI (VNS) — The innovation partnership programme (IPP) launched a six-month innovation accelerator programme (IAP) in Ha Noi today morning.

The accelerator programme is designed for internationally oriented high-growth start-ups as well as consortiums that are developing innovation systems locally.

IPP has selected 19 company teams and four ecosystem teams for the programme.

The IAP consists of some activities that will offer a six-day intensive training during the boot camp and training programme from today till Saturday.

Monthly or bi-weekly workshops and networking events will be held by foreign guest speakers as well as successful local businessmen and consultants. Some of the workshops will be open to the wider start-up community and start-up development ecosystem.

There will be mid-term and final demo days, when the innovation teams will pitch their projects in front of domestic and international angel investors, venture capitalists and private equity funders as well as other interested stakeholders.

IPP innovation consultants will work with the start-up teams on a weekly basis.

The IPP is an Official Development Assistance (ODA) programme financed by the governments of Viet Nam and Finland. It is in its second phase, running from 2014 to 2018, and supports Viet Nam's overall goal of becoming an industrialised middle-income knowledge economy by 2020. — VNS
