NGHE AN (VNS) — Chairman of the Nghe An People's Committee Nguyen Xuan Duong today rewarded two police groups a total of VND200 million (US$9,500) for cracking a family murder case in the province.

The policemen are from the public security ministry and the Nghe An Police.

Last Sunday, the groups caught a resident of Phong Village in Tam Hop Commune, Vi Van Man, often called Vi Van Hai, for allegedly killing a couple, their eight-month-old son and their 60-year-old mother in the village. The murder case happened on July 2.

Man told the police he had killed the four people over personal problems.

Last Saturday, Minister of Public Security Tran Dai Quang asked the Police General Department and provincial police to conduct investigation on the case. — VNS
