HCM CITY (VNS)  — Sixteen Vietnamese students at Quang Trung Vocational School have been selected to study in a one-year nursing programme and work as nurses for three years in Germany.

Nguyen Dinh Ba, deputy head of the Board of the Project to Supply Nurses for Germany, said it was the first batch of students under the programme to be sent to Germany.

The 16 students had met the German language requirements set by Germany and nursing qualifications, he said.

Last week, Viet Nam and Germany signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) on Vietnamese citizens working in Germany as caregivers. — VNS
