HA NOI  (VNS) — A programme to measure the satisfaction index of public administration services was co-signed by the Viet Nam Fatherland Front's Standing Committee, the Ministry of Home Affairs, and Central Viet Nam Veterans Association, yesterday in Ha Noi.

The move aims to build a transparent system of administration services to better serve people throughout Viet Nam.

The supervisory role of the Fatherland Front and the Central Viet Nam Veterans Association will also be heightened to evaluate the index.

The three agencies conducted a sociological survey to analyse the satisfaction index with public administration services in 2014 and the first six months of this year. More than 15,000 people living in 10 provinces and cities participated into the survey.

Six fields of administration public services were chosen for evaluation. These were the issuing of identity cards, land-use rights certificate, building licences, marriage certificates, birth certificates; and certifying documents.

President of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front, Nguyen Thien Nhan, said the co-operation of three agencies was a positive movement at improving the quality of administration. — VNS
