HA NOI (VNS) — Viet Nam won two gold medals at the 2015 Asian Physics Olympiad (APhO) held in China, the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) announced on May 9.
The gold medals belonged to Vu Thanh Trung Nam, twelfth grader at the Hanoi-Amsterdam High School for the Gifted in Hanoi and Nguyen Ngoc Khanh, twelfth grader at the Phan Boi Chau Gifted High School in the central province of Nghe An.
The Vietnamese team was also awarded three silver and one bronze medals, as well as two certificates of merit.
The Vietnamese students arrived back in Viet Nam on May 11.
Last year, Viet Nam brought home one gold, four silver and two bronze medals from the 2014 APhO held in Singapore. — VNA
