Da Nang awards outstanding health workers

DA NANG (VNS) — Four senior health officials have received the Third-Class Labour Medal, and 20 doctors and health workers were given the Da Nang City health department's "Shining White Blouse" Award.

The awards were bestowed on the occation of the central city of Da Nang's health department's 60th anniversary celebrations of Viet Nam Doctors' Day, February 27.

Da Nang's Party Committee Secretary Tran Tho, the city's People's Committee Chairman Huynh Duc Tho and the city's health department Chairman Pham Hung Chien attended the solemn anniversary.

Four of the awardees of the Third-Class Labour Medal were the director and deputy director of Da Nang's health department, Pham Hung Chien and Nguyen Ut respectively, Chairman of Da Nang preventive health centre Ton That Thanh and Chairman of the city's emergency centre Nguyen Tan Pho.

The city has eight city-level hospitals, seven district-level centres and 56 communal-level centres, with a total of 6,200 doctors and health workers. — VNS
