The first fire started at 5am this morning in a gas lighter store of a Hong Kong-invested company in the Go Dau Industrial Zone of the southern Tay Ninh Province.
The Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Vo Van Dung said the fire started after explosions were reported in the 500-square-metre store of the Top Pieu Company.
The blaze was successfully stamped by fire fighters with 20 fire trucks, who spent four hours trying to tamp down the fire.
No casualties were reported, but the store was demolished in the fire, resulting in a loss of about VND2 million (US$94.3), he said.
