KOICA grants $30m ODA for central region

DA NANG (VNS) – The Korean International Co-operation Agency in Viet Nam (KOICA) has granted US$30.1 million in Official Development Assistance (ODA) to aid projects in the central region of Viet Nam.

Chang Jae-yun, head of KOICA in Viet Nam, said the funding would include changes to the banks of the Huong River in Hue (2014-17); the upgrading of the Viet Nam-Korea Friendship Information Technology College in Da Nang (2013-15); improvements for the Central Highlands Vocational Training College for Ethnic Youth in Dak Lak (2014-15); non-refundable Q-Health technical assistance projects for improving the capacity of Thua Thien-Hue and Da Nang general hospitals and the Heangbok (Happiness) rural development project in Quang Tri. — VNS
