LAM DONG (VNS) — Eleven of the twelve workers rescued from the collapsed tunnel in the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong were discharged from the hospital yesterday.

Lam Dong Hospital Director Nguyen Ba Hy said that all the male workers had recovered completely. As for the female victim, Dang Thi Hong Ngoc, her condition was stable but she was still "in bad shape".

Health Minister Nguyen Thi Kim Tien asked the Departments of Health in the workers' six hometown provinces to monitor their health closely after they returned home.

The workers were trapped in a collapsed hydropower plant tunnel for almost 81 hours until they were rescued on Friday. — VNS
