BINH DUONG (VNS)— The southern province of Binh Duong started using a bus system on Thursday called Kaze Shuttle, employing the latest Japanese technology.

Tokyu-Becamex Joint Venture Company invested in the 22.1-km route, which connects Thu Dau 1 City and the province's Integrated Administration Centre in Binh Duong New City.

The system runs on a punctual timetable and provides education about safe driving.

The route's buses use compressed natural gas, an environmentally friendly alternative to petrol. Each bus is equipped with five security cameras.

Local authorities have decided to present 3,000 free bus tickets to public servants in a bid to encourage them to use public transit in the future. — VNS
