Japan funds bridge, hospital projects

HCM CITY (VNS) — The Japanese Consulate General in HCM City yesterday signed contracts to provide non-refundable aid worth a total of US$646,500 for seven projects in Viet Nam.

The Cuu Long (Mekong) Delta City of Can Tho will receive US$135,000 to build 12 bridges in Thoi Lai, Co Do and Phong Dien districts.

A total of US$308,000 will be provided for medical equipment for two general hospitals in An Giang and Kien Giang provinces and a medical centre in Long An Province.

Dak Nong and Kien Giang provinces will receive more than US$100,000 each to build two primary schools. — VNS
