City to build new children's hospital

Update: December, 02/2014 - 09:47

HCM CITY (VNS) — The municipal administration has approved a project to build a 1,000-bed paediatric hospital in HCM City.

The HCM City's Children Hospital, costing nearly VND4.5 trillion (US$214.2 million), will be built on a 125,000sq.m land plot in the city's Binh Chanh District.

When completed in 2016, the new facility is expected to ease the workload on the city's major paediatric institutions, Children's Hospitals No1 and No2, which are seriously stretched at present. — VNS
