HA NOI (VNS) — Dinh Viet Thang, general director of the Viet Nam Air Traffic Management Corporation, yesterday suspended three technical officials of the Southern Region Air Traffic Services Company.

The suspension order followed a power outage at the Tan Son Nhat airport's area control centre in Ho Chi Minh City last Thursday.

The power cut caused a 35-minute system breakdown at the Ho Chi Minh Area Control Centre (AACC HCM) and the Tan Son Nhat Air Control Tower.

The three officials, including the company's deputy director for technical management Tran Cong and manager of the technical centre Le Van Tinh, have been suspended for 15 days, while their roles in the incident are reviewed, starting from November 23.
