Poor families in Dong Nai to receive support

DONG NAI (VNS) — The southern province of Dong Nai will set aside VND2.5 trillion (US$117.8 million) from 2015 to 2020 to increase low-income households' access to healthcare, credit, education, housing and employment.

The province will use VND420 billion ($19.7 million) per year to support them.

The number of low-income households in the province, 7,000, could grow to 55,000 by 2015, a local official said, while 23,000 other households live close to the poverty line. — VNS
