Pagoda to be rebuilt in HCM City

A ceremony to mark the relaying of the foundation stone of the Viet Nam Quoc Tu Pagoda was held yesterday by the Buddist Sangha of Viet Nam in HCM City.

HCM CITY (VNS) – A ceremony to mark the relaying of the foundation stone of the Viet Nam Quoc Tu Pagoda was held yesterday by the Buddist Sangha of Viet Nam in HCM City.

The VND150 billion (US$7.2 million) pagoda will be built over two years and cover an area of 10,000 square metres in District 10.

The pagoda was built in 1963 under the Republic of Viet Nam, and covered 4,000 square metres. — VNS
