Illegal food imports seized in Lao Cai

LAO CAI (VNS) — Authorities seized more than 260 kilogrammes of illegally imported food including fried fish, sausages and frozen ducks in Lao Cai Province on Sunday.

The transporter of the seized goods, Phung Minh Khanh from Kim Tan Ward, could not present any invoice or document related to the goods that he had reportedly bought in China.

The seized goods will be destroyed while Khanh will be fined for violating the law by trading in illegally imported goods. — VNS
