HAU GIANG (VNS) — A whirlwind damaged and blew away roofs of 34 houses in the Mekong Delta province of Hau Giang's Vi Thanh City after sweeping through the area in five minutes yesterday.

Local authorities mobilised more than 100 officers and soldiers to the scene to help locals repair their houses and provide each affected household with financial aid worth VND3 to 6 million ($142-285). — VNS
