HAI PHONG (VNS) — Two workers died yesterday after a crane fell during work at a construction site for a fly-over bridge crossing Lach Tray Bridge in Hai Phong Province.

The bridge is part of a national highway project connecting Ha Noi to Hai Phong.

The accident occurred in the morning when Bridge Company Ltd. 12 employees began working. The crane plummeted 30-metres before killing the crane controller, one ground worker, and injuring three others.

The cause of the accident is yet to be determined. — VNS
