SEOUL (VNS)— The Vietnamese Embassy in the Republic of Korea is working with local officials to support a Korean-Vietnamese family with three members missing after the ferry sank off the RoK's coast on April 16.

Phan Ngoc Thanh, born in 1985 in Ca Mau Province, boarded the ferry with her Korean husband and their two children to seek employment on Jeju Island.

Thanh and her husband are missing, along with their six-year-old son. Their five-year-old daughter was the youngest survivor of the disaster.

The embassy also sent officials to the accident site to learn more about the incident and support Thanh's family. — VNS
