Tet flowers bring Hanoians luck and peace

Update: January, 29/2014 - 17:26

Every year when Spring arrives, Hanoians eagerly visit flower markets to buy their favourite flowers and plants to decorate their homes.

A variety of flowers are transported to Ha Noi from other provinces and cities to meet the demand created by people's hobbies, but peach blossoms and kumquat trees are still the most popular flowers for Tet (Lunar New Year) holidays.

According to traditional belief, peach blossoms symbolise luck and kumquat trees represent peace and calm.
